How Big Bill Created Localised, Hybrid DTC & B2B Shopping Experiences with Adobe Commerce

When Big Bill connected with Northern they were struggling with an outdated eCommerce tech stack that was preventing them from scaling established (B2B) and new (DTC) revenue streams. With Northern's support, Big Bill identified Adobe Commerce as the platform that would be best suited to replace their existing web experience powered by a combination of WordPress + WooCommerce and legacy custom-built B2B portals.
The new shopping experience leverages the Adobe Commerce multi-site architecture to power localised websites for the United States (USD, English + Spanish) and Canada (CAD, English + French) managed via one backend admin panel.
Consumer (DTC) and B2B customers are served differentiated shopping experiences that are aligned with their unique needs. The Adobe Commerce B2B module provides the following features specific to B2B buyers' expectations about how to shop: Moderated Account Registration, Company Accounts, Shared Catalogues, Payment on Account, Sales Rep User Role, Quick Order, Quote Requests/Negotiation and Requisition Lists.
The new shopping experience was designed and developed to comply with WCAG Level AA standards for web accessibility.
The following custom features were implemented to support marketing efforts and ensure customers have the information they need to buy with confidence.
