Northern Commerce Named One of the Best Workplaces™ for Women for Second Consecutive Year

LONDON, ON – March 8, 2022 —  North America’s leading digital solutions agency, Northern Commerce, has been named on the 2022 list of Best Workplaces™ for Women, coinciding with International Women’s Day. Northern received this honour after a thorough and independent analysis conducted by Great Place to Work® Canada.

The list for this recognition is based on direct feedback from employees of the hundreds of organizations that were surveyed by Great Place to Work®. To be eligible for this list, organizations must be Great Place to Work Certified™ in the past year, headquartered in Canada, have a minimum of 15 female employees, and at least 90% of employees must agree that people are treated fairly regardless of their gender.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion have been critical components of Northern’s vibrant culture and continued success. Over the last year, the team at Northern has grown by nearly 60% and is now comprised of nearly 200 employees and will continue to grow this year at a sustainable yet ambitious rate.  About 45% of Northern employees identify as female and over 50% of department leaders at Northern are represented by women.

Northern is focused on incorporating more opportunities for growth and development, and growing its team professionally. To celebrate International Women’s Day and the women at Northern and their contributions, Northern has invested in external workshops led by Women to provide its employees with female perspectives outside of its own. Northern is also hosting an International Women’s Day Brunch for its employees to come together to celebrate this day and the women at Northern.

Northern has been recognized by Great Place to Work on Best Workplaces™ for Hybrid Work list in 2022. In 2021, Northern was ranked among Canada’s Best Workplaces in Canada and Ontario by Great Place to Work Canada.
