That’s why Northern is so proud to continue its ongoing partnership with Fanshawe College’s interactive media design program with an intensive eight-week Drupal 11 web development guest lecture series.

The guest lecture series start the week of Feb. 7, 2025 and is carefully crafted to provide the students with a comprehensive understanding of key learning outcomes including, but not limited to:

  • Drupal content management system fundamentals
  • Advanced site building techniques
  • Innovative layout design
  • Modern theming approaches

A Commitment to Hands-On Learning

Throughout our partnership, Northern has been dedicated to providing students with more than just theoretical knowledge of Drupal development. Our Fanshawe College guest lecture series are a tangible representation of our commitment to experiential learning that prepares students for real-world challenges in digital technology.

It offers more than just technical training. Our mentors are carefully selected not just for their prowess in Drupal development, but equally as important is their ability to transform complex concepts into accessible learning experiences. Each lecturer brings not only deep technical expertise in Drupal, but also a passion for teaching and the ability to break down complex topics for beginners, which helps provide students both the foundation they need for Drupal development and the confidence to successfully apply that knowledge in their careers.

Using Drupal Open University Project Material

This initiative also aligns with our commitment to supporting the Drupal Open University initiative – a community-driven project with a bold mission to introduce students to the power of Drupal and foster the next generation of Drupal developers. Northern has benefited from this open-source, knowledge-sharing ethos and we’re committed to doing our part to give back and help the next generation of open-source contributors.
